ISERN PATENTES Y MARCAS M SL, a private company dedicated to the protection and defence of industrial and intellectual property, has established and implemented an environmental management system based on the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard. ISERN M, aware of current issues and the need to protect and preserve the environment, as well as to minimise the impact of its activities, is committed to the following:
- To comply with ministerial and governmental requirements and the country’s laws or standards and regulations that apply to its processes in order to preserve the environment and the surroundings.
- To guarantee all its customers, employees and the community in general a safe, healthy, productive and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- To prevent contamination of soil, water and air resources by reducing solid waste produced directly or indirectly by its activities.
- To provide the necessary resources to meet the objectives and goals set out in the Environmental Management System Manual that governs the company.
- To disseminate the Environmental Policy and communicate it to all staff in the organisation through training and awareness programmes.
- Our environmental policy defines our commitment to both continuous improvement and carrying out our activity within the parameters of sustainable development, maintaining control and management of the environmental aspects it produces, especially the most significant ones.
- ACTING ACTIVELY AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE
It also establishes a common framework for defining objectives and carrying out activities that contribute to the continuous improvement of the environmental management system.
In order to fulfil these commitments and achieve the established objectives, ISERN M has established the following fundamental principles:
- Ensure the protection of the environment by working in a respectful manner, preventing pollution and minimising the environmental effects produced as a result of our activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal environmental requirements and the requirements voluntarily assumed by the organisation.
- Establish indicators and reporting systems that allow us to objectively assess the environmental impact of our activities.
- Maintain the awareness and consciousness of all our employees, promote their environmental training and encourage active participation, including their suggestions for improvement, in order to promote continuous improvement.
- Define specific and measurable objectives and targets within an environmental programme and review them once a year to analyse their degree of achievement.
- Carry out a periodic annual assessment of the environmental aspects derived from our activity, for the purposes of maintaining and continuously improving the environmental management system.
Likewise, the identification and evaluation of environmental aspects allows the company to maintain environmental management based on three pillars:
- Precaution: avoid actions that may involve an environmental risk, regardless of how serious they may be if they materialise.
- Prevention: avoid the environmental consequences associated with a particular action.
- Correction: anticipating how to counteract the environmental consequences of a risk should it materialise.
All of us at ISERN M embrace these principles, and it is our responsibility to put them into practice. ISERN M promotes environmental improvement and allocates the necessary resources to ensure the successful implementation of this environmental policy.
