ISERN PATENTES Y MARCAS, a private company dedicated to the protection and defence of intellectual property, has established and implemented an environmental management system based on the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard. ISERN, aware of the current problems and the need to protect and preserve the environment, as well as to minimise the impact of its activities, is committed to the following:

  • Comply with ministerial and governmental requirements and laws of the country or rules and regulations that apply to its processes in order to preserve the environment and the environment.
  • To guarantee a safe, healthy, productive and aesthetically pleasing environment for all its customers, employees and the community in general.
  • Prevent contamination of soil, water and air resources by reducing solid waste produced by its activities directly or indirectly.
  • To provide the necessary resources to meet the objectives and goals set out in the Environmental Management System Manual that governs the company.
  • Disseminate the Environmental Policy and communicate it to all the organisation’s personnel through training and awareness programmes.
  • Our environmental policy defines our commitment both to continuous improvement and to carrying out our activity within the parameters of sustainable development, maintaining control and management of the environmental aspects it produces, especially the most significant ones.

It also establishes a common framework for the definition of objectives and the implementation of activities that contribute to the continuous improvement of the environmental management system.

In order to fulfil these commitments and achieve the established objectives, ISERN has established the following fundamental principles:

  • To ensure the protection of the environment, working in a respectful manner, preventing pollution and minimising the environmental effects produced as a consequence of the activity we carry out.
  • To ensure compliance with the applicable legal environmental requirements and the requirements voluntarily assumed by the organisation.
  • Establish indicators and reporting systems that allow us to objectively know the environmental impact of our activities.
  • Maintain the awareness and awareness of all our employees, promote their environmental training and encourage their active participation, including suggestions for improvement proposed by them in order to promote continuous improvement.
  • Define specific and measurable objectives and goals within an environmental programme and review them once a year to analyse their degree of achievement.
  • To carry out a periodic annual evaluation of the environmental aspects derived from our activity, for the purposes of maintenance and continuous improvement of the environmental management system.

It also establishes a common framework for the definition of objectives and the implementation of activities that contribute to the continuous improvement of the environmental management system.

Likewise, the identification and evaluation of environmental aspects allows the company to maintain an environmental management based on 3 pillars:

  • Precaution: avoiding actions that may involve an environmental risk, regardless of how serious they may be if they materialise.
  • Prevention: avoiding the environmental consequences associated with a given action.
  • Correction: foreseeing how to counteract the environmental consequences of a risk should it materialise.

All of us at ISERN are committed to these principles, and it is our responsibility to put them into practice. ISERN promotes environmental improvement and allocates the necessary resources to ensure the successful implementation of this environmental policy.

The Environmental Management System applies to:

The activities of processing, management and defence of clients’ intellectual property carried out at the offices in Madrid (C/ Príncipe de Vergara, nº 43) and Barcelona (Avda. Diagional, 463 bis).
